Some death metal conceptual constructs can only be facilitated by an outrageous rhythm section. Vengeance Evangel is a vulgar display of such powers. Guitar acrobatics of a certain ilk (think "Unholy Cult" or "Hammer Smashed Face") might fall flat without the proper low-end cock punch. Secure on its superior chassis, Vengeance Evangel leaves earth instantly, headed towards strange aeons beyond human comprehension. These riffs roll and slide and slam and slap at impossible horizons with absolutely no fucks. There is almost no distinction between rhythm riffs and leads. Grinding vortices mutate directly into supersonic vomit-comets. The songs ooze panache and confidence, knowing with certainty that you will be hooked, addicted, slack-jawed in awe. The vocals mirror that hubris with pugilistic precision and skill. Chaos Inception dropped a death metal album that straight fucks into eternity; pretenders to the throne can only weep.
